Source: Date:2022.12.27

On 26 December 2022, the Department of Policies and Regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) organised an opening meeting on the construction of an intelligent practical training teaching environment for civil aviation inspector training under the Security Competence Project. The meeting was chaired by He Qi from the Legal Affairs Division of the Department of Political and Legal Affairs. The seven experts who participated in the project's opening evaluation came from the relevant business divisions and bureaus of the CAAC, regional administrations and professional colleges and universities, including Professor Pu Xiaorong from the University of Electronic Science and Technology, Director of the Price Division of the Planning Department, PANG Yanhong, Director of the Safety Division of the Airport Department, Tu Koon, Director of the Finance Division of the Xinjiang Administration, Li Quan, Director of the South Central Bureau, Hua Rui, Wang Pengshan from the Air Traffic Control Division of the Northeast Bureau and Yu Xiao, Researcher of the Political and Legal Division of the Northwest Bureau.

At the meeting, the project leader reported the overall situation of the project to the experts from four aspects: project background, implementation plan, preliminary preparation and project objectives, which was unanimously praised by the participating experts. Director PANG Yanhong suggested that the training scope of the platform should be extended to other mature inspectors. The experts also made a lot of valuable comments on the implementation details of the project. Tu Koon from the Airport Division suggested that the construction of virtual scenarios should meet the compliance of regulations and standards and have the possibility of continuous updating and upgrading. The scenes involving airports should refer to the latest "Technical Standards for Civil Airport Flight Areas", and can be classified and built according to running skids and aprons, obstacle restriction surfaces, signage markers, visual aids to navigation such as lighting and power supply systems. Prof. Pu Xiaorong believes that MR technology is mature at the application level, but it may be difficult to cover the scenario design requirements of the project with the limited external funding; the continuity and scalability of the software must be paid attention to when designing the software, which should be planned in advance at the beginning of the project construction, and the requirements should be clearly defined before construction.
